How to use the Verity Solver

Verity is the fourth encounter of Salvation’s Edge. Each round, three players are pulled into the inside rooms and three stay outside. The inside players call out the 2D shape their statue holds, from left to right. The outside team enters those callouts and the 3D shape each outside statue holds right now, and the solver lists the shortest set of dissections that fixes all three statues. No setup can need more than three dissections.

How dissecting works

Every 3D shape outside is made of two flat shapes. A sphere is circle + circle, a cube is square + square, a pyramid is triangle + triangle, a cylinder is circle + square, a cone is circle + triangle, and a prism is square + triangle. Some guides swap the names “pyramid” and “prism”, so the solver always shows the two flat shapes as well.

To dissect, kill a Knight, pick up the flat shape it drops and dunk it into a statue that already holds that shape. Then dunk a different shape into a second statue. Doing two statues in a row swaps those two shapes between them. For example, dunking a triangle into a cone and a square into a cube turns the cone into a cylinder and the cube into a prism.

What the outside statues need

Each outside statue has to end up with the two flat shapes that its inside player’s statue does not hold. If the inside callouts are circle, square and triangle, the outside statues need a prism, a cone and a cylinder, in that order. When all three are right, the glass in the inside rooms cracks and the inside team can get out.

Tips for a clean round

Pick one dissector and have the other two outside players handle the adds and the Unstoppable champions. Call every dunk out loud before you make it, because the order matters. Carry only one shape at a time: two shapes combine into a 3D shape. Before the next round, hit Reset for the next round and wait for new callouts.
