"The Garden calls out to you."

Garden of Salvation is a raid in Destiny 2 on The Moon. Bring a fireteam of up to 6 players. This page lists every weapon that drops here, plus all triumphs and challenges.

Garden of Salvation raid guide

Garden of Salvation launched on October 5, 2019, with Shadowkeep. You launch it from the Moon, and six Guardians follow a Vex signal deep into the Black Garden to fight the Consecrated and Sanctified Mind. Almost everything here runs on tethers: linking a beam of light from a Vex box or relay to the next thing that needs it. Once you get comfortable with tethering, the rest is about keeping track of motes and not standing where the boss is about to delete the floor.

1. Evade the Consecrated Mind

Start by tethering from a floating Vex box to the door. From there the team splits: one group stays with the boss, clears adds and picks up its charges, while the other group pushes ahead. To open each barrier, kill the Angelic and tether its box to the barrier. The boss advances and the two groups leapfrog past each other. The final barrier needs three boxes, and after that you run through a last field of enemies to the end.

The boss keeps dropping Voltaic Overflow charges. An uncollected charge explodes and wipes the team, but picking up a second one while you still have the first will kill you, so rotate who grabs them.

2. Summon the Consecrated Mind

Kill the Goblins in the centre to begin. The arena has four corner relays and one in the middle. Kill a corner’s Angelic and tether from its Vex box to charge the relay, which also gives you Enlightened. Enlightened lets you break the white shields on Vex that run to a relay to sacrifice themselves, and it has to be refreshed all the time.

Too many sacrifices at a relay and the team wipes. After twelve Angelics are down (three per corner), the centre barrier drops. Everyone then moves to the middle, tethers the central relay and defends it until the chest appears.

3. Defeat the Consecrated Mind, Sol Inherent

Tether to the centre relay to start. Roughly half the team works on motes while the other half follows the boss. Minotaurs drop Voltaic Motes, which you bank at whichever relay is glowing, and banking gives you Enlightened.

Every so often the boss detains a player. The detained player calls whether the inner or outer ring of eyes needs to be shot, and they plus two others shoot the right ones. Shoot the wrong eyes and the detained player dies. Once 30 motes are banked, damage begins: the boss moves toward the bank, you shoot all its red eyes, then the central crit spot as it retreats. Don’t stand too close to it during damage. Repeat until it falls.

4. Defeat the Sanctified Mind, Sol Inherent

Shoot the boss, clear the adds and kill the Angelic. Shooting the boss’s shoulder (orange) and knee (blue) opens portals to side islands, where enemies drop coloured motes. Each mote only fits in the relay of the same colour, and each relay needs 30. Every portal you open also brings a Cyclops.

When a part is broken, the boss deletes one of the platforms, and standing on it when that happens kills you. Tethering from a relay rebuilds the platforms. Once both relays are full, the boss shows an orange or blue symbol: tether to it from the relay of the same colour first, then from the opposite one. That opens up its midriff crit spot for damage. Then do it all again.

Challenges

  • Leftovers (Evade): don’t kill the Cyclops that spawn near the boss.
  • A Link to the Chain (Summon): all six players must be Enlightened at the same time, every time.
  • To the Top (Consecrated Mind): every deposit must be exactly ten motes.
  • Zero to One Hundred (Sanctified Mind): fill each relay from empty to full within a few seconds of the first deposit.

Divinity

The raid exotic, Divinity, is a trace rifle and doesn’t drop at random. It comes from the quest Divine Fragmentation, which starts in the Lunar Battlegrounds on the Moon and sends you through Lost Sectors on Nessus, a pile of Decryption Core Fragments and a visit to Eris’s Lectern of Enchantment. The last part happens inside the raid: your full team of six solves seven tether puzzles, and after the final boss you open a hidden chest with Divinity inside. The full loot table is below.
