Exotic Hand Cannon
Malfeasance
"Nothing kills a Guardian faster than another Guardian." —The Drifter
Malfeasance is an Exotic Hand Cannon in Destiny 2 that deals Kinetic damage from the Kinetic slot and uses primary ammo. Its signature exotic perk is Explosive Shadow. It comes with a fixed set of perks, including Taken Predator. You can get it from: An Exotic quest or challenge.
How to get Malfeasance
Malfeasance, the Kinetic hand cannon tied to Gambit, comes from the quest Darkness in the Light. It starts when you get the Seething Heart in Gambit and take it to the Drifter.
- The Seething Heart: take it to the Drifter.
- City of Secrets: defeat 25 Taken bosses or minibosses in the Dreaming City.
- The Corrupted: complete the special version of The Corrupted strike.
- Take the Depleted Weapon Core from Callum Sol’s grave to the Drifter.
- Business As Usual: bank motes and win Gambit matches. Motes you drop count against you.
- Lights Out: defeat Guardians in Gambit and pull off a strong invasion.
- Return to the Drifter with the Dark Weapon Core to claim Malfeasance.
Catalyst
The catalyst drops from ritual activities (Vanguard, Crucible and Gambit) and needs 700 kills. It adds Vorpal Weapon to the hand cannon.
Perks
Shoot tainted slugs that burrow into combatants. Stacking enough slugs causes them all to explode, stunning surviving combatants. Strong against [Stagger] Unstoppable Champions.
This version has a fixed roll: the perks above are always the same.
Exotic catalyst
Increased damage against bosses, vehicles, and Guardians with their Super active.
Base stats
Base values from the game files, before barrels, magazines, mods and masterwork.
