The Black Garden is a Grimoire card from the original Destiny (Destiny 1), found under Activities → Story: Mars, Meridian Bay. Grimoire cards held most of the game's lore and were read on Bungie.net and in the companion app, not in the game itself.
Card text
"At last, the Heart of the Garden has been destroyed, its stranglehold on the Traveler released. Our Light brightens. But the power of the Vex is not broken. Look into the Vault, Guardian, for it is said to hold powers the Progeny were meant to bring forth." - The Speaker
Grimoire text written by Bungie, shown as it appears in the Destiny 1 game files.
