Photoinhibition is an origin trait in Destiny 2 that can appear on 2 weapons. An enhanced version exists on crafted and some newer weapons.
What Photoinhibition does
This weapon deals bonus damage to combatant shields and targets with overshields. Breaking a combatant's shield disorients them; breaking an energy-matched shield also disorients nearby combatants.
