Destiny 1 Grimoire card
Val Aru'un
"Enter as soldier, survive on the crushed ambitions of lesser warriors."
Val Aru'un is a Grimoire card from the original Destiny (Destiny 1), found under Enemies → Cabal Command. Grimoire cards held most of the game's lore and were read on Bungie.net and in the companion app, not in the game itself.
Card text
Aru'un's ascension to Val will never be considered official by the Cabal High Command proper, but in the Prison of Elders the approval of the outside world is meaningless. To his fellow prisoners, Aru'un is a Val worthy of following.
Grimoire text written by Bungie, shown as it appears in the Destiny 1 game files.
